Bajloor Rashid MBE

Bajloor Rashid MBE is a British Bangladeshi business entrepreneur and philanthropist.

He is best known for his tenure as President of the BCA 2006-2012.

For many years most of this time has been spent in improving the lives of individuals and the curry industry as a whole. He is passionate about environmental issues and has been involved in assisting the plight of communities blighted by some of the worst natural disasters such as Cyclone Sidr.

Currently a Chairman/Director of over 10 companies.

Mr Rashid was made chairman of Progressive Life Insurance Company in Bangladesh in 2013. Having stepped down from that role, he is now a Founding Director of Progressive Life.

From 2014 until 2020 he was the Founding President of the UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce and Industry. The UKBCCI focus on assisting and creating future entrepreneurs whilst helping to improve the trade links between the UK and Bangladesh. He is now a Director of the UKBCCI.

His strong entrepreneurial sense means that he is always looking at ways to create something new for people and is currently researching and working on a number of new projects...so please watch this space.
